Arrive Rome. Transfer by bus to Sorrento by way of Cumae. Lunch at Cumae and tour of the archeological site. Arrive Sorrento and take a walking tour of city. Overnight Sorrento.

Saturday, November 19
|
Tour the ancient cities of Oplontis and Pompeii. Overnight Sorrento.

Sunday, November 20
|
Take the train to Florence. Visit the Uffizi and the Accademia to see David. Overnight Florence.

Monday, November 21
|
Walking tour of city. Climb the dome of the Duomo Overnight Florence.

|
Travel by train to Rome. Visit the Borghese Galleries, the Piazza del Popolo, the Spanish Steps, and the Pantheon. Overnight Rome.

|
Walking tour of the city including the Forum, the Colosseum, the Pantheon, and the Capitoline Museum. Overnight Rome.

|
All day at St. Peter’s and the Vatican Museum. Night tour of the famous Piazzas. Overnight Rome.

Depart Rome Italy for USA.

This tour will concentrate on the history and art of Campania including Pompeii, Florence, and Rome. Students will experience firsthand Italian culture, food, and language. Rather than being isolated on tour busses, the students will access the sites and museums for the most part by using public transportation and walking. Hotel accommodations are in “Mom and Pop” establishments, clean, very Italian, and in the most desirable locations.
Patsy Ricks and Philip Cortese who have studied extensively in Italy, speak Italian, and who have conducted many tours for both students and adults have organized and will conduct the trip.
Price of trip: $3192.
What this price includes: All museums, transportation, hotels, breakfasts and dinners, transfer to and from airport.
Not included: taxi from train station, lunches, and spending money.
A $200 DOWN PAYMENT MUST ACCOMPANY THE REGISTRATION. This money will count towards the total price of the trip. Checks should be made out to Inside Italy Tours. The down payment cannot be returned after July, 2011. Because of Delta’s new group policy, $910 must be paid by August 1.
